Psychic ability is not a gift tethered to everyone’s soul — and that’s okay. Every gift is sacred. Sure, we can develop a deeper sensitivity to psychic perception, but natural psychic abilities carry a different resonance and strength. If you’re comparing yourself, you may be holding a self-acceptance wound — or you just haven’t opened your own gifts enough to see how powerful they really are. I’ve been there. I used to think, “I can see glimpses of the future — that’s it?” But the more I heal and work with my gifts, the more I uncover. You can get there too! What makes each gift sacred is that it was intelligently chosen by something far greater and loving than us — and that alone is beautiful. Let that be enough, you are enough.
Hey guys! I hope you’re all doing well!
I wanted to write this because I get asked this question a lot — and it’s one of those layered questions that I just can’t answer with a simple yes or no and feel complete about it.
So, is every one psychic? Let’s break it down.
I believe that everyone is born with their own unique sets of spiritual gifts, specifically assigned to their soul by the Divine. If you Google the word “psychic,” you’ll see all kinds of definitions. Some say it’s about extrasensory perception — like clairaudience (clearly hearing messages), clairvoyance (clearly seeing), clairsentience (clearly feeling energy or emotions), and claircognizance (clearly just knowing things), or being able to sense extra sensory perception that is unexplainable to the naked eye.. or to logic… etc., etc., etc…
For me, being psychic does include the ability to foresee future events — but my spiritual gifts also span all the clairs. I’m also a medium. Some people group mediumship with psychic abilities, but to me, they’re not the same. As a medium, I can actually see spirits — sometimes through my third eye, sometimes in the physical space — and sometimes I can just feel their presence even if I don’t visually see them.
People often ask, “Can you develop psychic abilities?” In my experience — kind of, you can become more open to future events — But it may not come as easily or powerfully unless it’s a gift that was naturally tethered to your soul.
For me, psychic ability is one of my strongest gifts. It’s something that has always been with me — it feels natural, the way that some people feel naturally inclined to painting or something. I believe the Divine gave me this gift to help others realign with their highest timelines, their purpose, and their healing.
That’s why I’m able to see into the “future” — not just for the sake of prediction, but to understand how current choices, patterns, and energy may shape what’s ahead. It helps me guide others back into alignment now, by showing them the possible outcomes their soul is moving toward.
Now, here’s the thing:
I have some amazing spiritual friends whose gifts are completely different from mine. One of them can literally hear animals speak to her — like full-on conversations, just like you and I are talking. That’s her soul gift. Me? I didn’t come into this world with that ability. But as I opened up and developed my own psychic channel, I noticed I started to hear animals too — not all the time, and not as clearly as my friend, but it began to show up here and there. It’s not my main gift, and it’s definitely not the one I’m here to hone in this lifetime. But it’s still something I can access when it’s needed.
I’m not here to help animals in the same way she is — though I do love them (that part’s definitely in my soul contract, lol). So while I can sometimes hear them, I know that’s not where my energy is meant to be focused.
Let me pause here and clarify something important:
Intuition is not the same thing as a spiritual gift. Everyone has intuition, and not everyone has the same spiritual gifts.
Intuition is like our inner compass — it’s built into us. We’re all human beings, and we’re all energetically connected. So yes, we can pick up on other people’s emotions, sense when something is off, or feel deep empathy. That is intuition. And it’s different from a spiritual gift.
That said, healing opens up and amplifies both — but they’re still not the same.
Intuition integrates all the knowledge we’ve gathered — from this life and from past lives. When it’s balanced, it pulls from both logic (what we know) and those illogical nudges or gut feelings that come from seemingly nowhere. That fusion is what makes it so powerful.
But if your intuition isn’t balanced — meaning if it’s clouded by trauma or unhealed wounds — you might mistake your intuitive nudges as truth when they are actually your own projections of fear, judgement, or trauma.
So yes — we all have intuition. It’s our birthright. Some even have naturally heightened intuition.
But to really trust it, to really use it clearly, we have to do the inner work to make sure it’s not being filtered through old wounds. We all have the right to connect with the Divine, ancestors and past loved ones.
But here’s the thing — a relationship with the Divine is something I had to work toward. That took healing. I had to learn how to read energy objectively instead of subjectively. I had to remove my own filters. And trust me — I’m still doing the work. I’m not perfect. No one is. And the Divine doesn’t expect us to be.
They just want us to be real. And being real? That means being willing to sometimes be wrong— because if we’re going to deliver spiritual guidance that actually serves others, we can’t let fear of being imperfect hold us back.
Our gifts aren’t here to be glamorized. They’re here to be used with humility:
If we try to lead from ego — like “I want to be psychic because it sounds cool” or “I want to impress people” — trust me, the Divine will teach you very quickly who’s actually in charge lol.
That being said — yes, it’s totally okay to be excited! I definitely was when I started. And honestly? I still am. There is something amazing and awe-inspiring about awakening to your gifts. I had that phase too — the “WOW! I’M SO COOL” feeling. And that’s a beautiful part of the journey. I don’t judge myself for it. It’s normal to be in awe of something that feels so magical and deep.
But over time, I realized something:
It’s not me leading this. It’s the Divine. And when you fully surrender to that truth, everything changes.
The pressure lifts. The clarity comes in. And the guidance flows not from ego, but from trust.

Here’s something else I want to say, because I’ve seen it come up in a lot of people:
Maybe you’re scared of what will happen if your gifts actually open.
Maybe a part of you is afraid of judgment, or of seeing things you can’t explain.
That’s okay too. You’re not broken if you’re afraid— know your soul is braver than your fear. And if your gifts feel blocked right now, don’t panic — it doesn’t mean they’re gone. It might just mean your soul is asking you to heal first, so you can hear more clearly.
So before we go deeper, I’ll ask you this:
- Why do you want to be psychic?
- Is it because it sounds like the flashiest or most powerful gift?
- Is there a part of you that thinks that’s the one worth having?
Let me stop you there!!
Being psychic isn’t something I glamorize.
And if you find yourself rejecting your own gifts because they don’t look like someone else’s — that may be a self-acceptance wound.
All spiritual gifts are valuable. Every. Single. One.
So if you’re thinking, “But I can’t do readings” or “I can’t see the future,” that’s okay. Really. Focus on your own gifts. Spend time learning how they work.
I had these gifts as a child, 100%. But society didn’t teach me how to use them — so I shut them down. Then trauma pulled me even further from the light. I had to heal that. I had to remember who I was before the forgetting… and trust me — THAT. WAS. WORK.
Let me give you a metaphor:
Let’s say I’m an Olympic gymnast — I’ve trained, I’ve won medals, and I know my strengths.
And you? You’re a naturally gifted soccer player. Maybe you don’t know it yet, or maybe you’re just starting to explore it. But if you focus on your own sport — your own lane — you’ll shine in your brilliance without needing to compare it to others.
Spiritual gifts aren’t about chasing clout — They’re about being of service — to your healing, to your community, and to help bring people closer to the Divine.
So no — not everyone is naturally psychic in the sense of seeing the future.
And even then, the future is never fully set. Energy shifts. We have free will. The Divine may show me future timelines for a client — and yes, they often come to pass. But I’ve also seen timelines shift completely, including in my own life… (but energy shifts and changing timelines is a topic for future posts!)
And let me tell you — every single time a client confirms that something I channeled actually happened, I’m in awe. Like, every time lol. It never gets old. It always feels like the first time — because that’s how sacred and humbling this work really is!
Here’s what I’ll never say:
“YUP! I WITH 100% CERTAINTY KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS!” Not over here! I don’t think I’m God. I’m not walking around thinking I have all the answers, or that I can predict every outcome. Because I can’t. When clients say to me “WOW! That really resonates with me!” I say “All power and thanks goes to the Divine, I am the messenger.”
So, yes — I’m psychic. But not in the flashy way people think. To me, being

psychic isn’t a performance. It’s a calling — one that asks for deep listening, radical honesty, and ongoing healing.
If I’m going to guide others spiritually, I have to be clear enough to receive what the Divine gives me — and humble enough to know that these messages aren’t mine. They’re entrusted to me by something greater than myself.
And I treat that trust with reverence. I’ve walked through darkness. Pain. Loss. Ego death. Soul-deep healing. And each time, I found the Divine’s hand right there.
That’s why I trust it.
That’s why I serve.
Yes, I can see energy. Yes, I receive intuitive messages about the future. Yes, I communicate with spirits.
But what lets me connect is the healing I have done and continue to do. It’s the parts of my trauma I’ve released — in this lifetime and others — that help me remember who I really am beneath it all.
So, you have gifts, too! They may look different. They may come quietly (at first), but they’re real, they’re there, and they are ready to roar if you spend time with them!
Your spiritual connection doesn’t need to be earned. It needs to be remembered. That remembering happens through healing, through self-compassion, and through being radically honest with yourself.
I don’t do this work to stand out. I do it to serve… and without the people who cross my path — without you — this purpose would have nowhere to land.
So — to answer the original question:
Psychic ability may not be everyone’s soul-assigned gift, and that’s okay — because everyone’s soul holds gifts that are valuable and divinely chosen. Sure, some people can develop psychic perception, but natural psychic ability holds a different type of resonance — and we don’t need to chase someone else’s gift to be valuable.
Bottom line: Everyone does have a unique set of spiritual gifts that may look different from the person next to you, and even those who do share similar gifts may use them different and receive the information different. That’s what makes us all unique! AND THAT IS SACRED! Let that be enough!
Want to go deeper?
If you want to discover your gifts, start with healing. Spend time in stillness. Create a spiritual routine that’s consistent, even if it’s simple.
Because connecting with the Divine is possible — but we do need to transmute our pain into light. We need to raise our vibration. We need to train!
The discipline is spiritual. The result is remembrance. And the gift… is already inside you ✨
I wanted to share what being psychic truly means to me — because let’s be real, it’s often waaaaaay too glamorized or misunderstood. Some people are even afraid of it. But to me, it’s not a performance— it’s soul purpose. I felt called to go deeper here so you can understand not just what I do, but why I do it — and to remind you that your gifts are just as powerful, whether you’ve discovered them or not.
If you’re not sure what your gifts are yet, ask yourself:
How can I serve with what comes naturally to me? How do my gifts want to move through me — to support my life and those around me? Maybe it’s through creating content. Maybe it’s writing, painting, healing, speaking, or simply holding space.
Whatever it is, just know: your gifts will touch many, many people (A psychic prediction from me to you — LOL, but seriously.)
If you’re curious to explore your spiritual gifts or want help uncovering what’s already apart of your soul, you can book a psychic reading with me, I can tune in and ask the Divine what your spiritual gifts are — and we can work together to help you open them up in a way that feels aligned and real.
As a final word, I just want to say that this post was written to help you remember who you are — your truth, your light, your way.
I hope it’s helped you feel closer to that.
With love and light,
Anika 💫
